Can children participate?
Yes — kayaking and beginner canyons suit ages 6+, via ferrata from 12, and gentle summer rafting from around 10.
Montenegro is a brilliant place to give kids their first taste of real adventure, and several of our activities are built with families in mind. The right choice depends mostly on age, swimming ability and confidence rather than strength.
The easiest introductions are sea kayaking in the calm Bay of Kotor and the beginner Drenoštica canyon, both suitable from around age 6. The Orlina via ferrata works from age 12, and the calmer summer Tara rafting typically takes children from about 10 with a guardian. Guides always adapt the route and pace to the youngest member of the group, and provide child-sized safety gear where needed.
