Multi-pitch climbing takes you onto the big mountain walls — routes that unfold over hundreds of metres of vertical rock, requiring multiple rope lengths and hours of sustained climbing. Montenegro has over 500 such routes, concentrated primarily in the Durmitor and Prokletije massifs, where the limestone offers exceptional quality and variety.

These ascents are genuine alpine adventures. You climb pitch by pitch, belaying your partner from natural or fixed anchors, the valley floor receding as the view expands around you. At the top, the sense of achievement is unlike anything else in outdoor sport. Some of Montenegro's best multi-pitch routes also include sections through deep canyon walls — a landscape found almost nowhere else in Europe.
