THE PEARL OF MONTENEGRO
Durmitor National Park is the jewel of Montenegro's highlands — a UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in southeastern Europe. The park contains 39 peaks over 2,000 metres, 18 glacial lakes, the Tara River Canyon, and an extraordinary diversity of plant and animal life including rare endemic species found nowhere else on earth.
Hiking in Durmitor ranges from peaceful lakeside strolls around the famous Black Lake to full-day alpine ascents on peaks like Bobotov Kuk, the park's highest point at 2,523 metres. The trails offer constantly changing landscapes — high meadows, dense black pine forests, dramatic ridgelines and glacier-carved valleys. In winter the park transforms into a wonderland for ski touring, snowshoeing and winter trekking.
Our guides have an intimate knowledge of the park's trails, ecology and history. We design each hike to match the group's fitness and interests, ensuring that every visit to Durmitor becomes a defining memory.
